Fee Reduction Tips

  • Use ATMs that are Direct Charge Fee Free which includes all ATMs owned by the major banks (CBA, NAB, ANZ and Westpac) as well as others. Please note that effective from 1 January 2019, there may be some rediATMs that impose a Direct Charge Fee. This is due to the fact that effective from 1 January 2019, Family First Credit Union has withdrawn from the rediATM Scheme as there is no longer a reason for us to participate given the major banks decision to cease charging the Direct Charge Fee when using their ATMs which occurred back in September 2017).
  • Pay for purchases using Visa Card and select 'credit' button (not available at some merchants and merchant surcharges may apply)
  • Maximise your relationship balance
  • Transact in larger balance transactions as opposed to performing frequent low value transactions eg: withdraw $200 at an ATM as opposed to withdrawing $20 on ten separate occasions
  • Use EFTPOS to get cash out at same time as purchase
  • Make balance enquiries through Phone Banking or Internet Banking
  • Pay your Bills using BPAY via Internet, Mobile and Phone Banking as well as our banking app
  • Combine your savings and loans from other institutions into your FFCU account
