Vale Wes Anderson

It is with sadness that I must convey the sudden passing of former General Manager Wes Anderson on January 1, 2020.

Wes was instrumental in the development of this Credit Union in its formative years having been General Manager from 1975 through to 2004, a total of 28 years.

Wes managed the Credit Union under 3 names – Small Arms Factory Employees Credit Union, Lithgow Mutual Credit Union and Family First Credit Union.

Wes was also a member of the Board Nominations Committee post his retirement.

Wes was acknowledged as one of the most influential people in the Credit Union's history at the Credit Union's 50th anniversary celebrations held in November 2017.

Wes also was a Director and presenter of Lithgow radio station EzyFM up until October last year where it was wound up.

Wes will be sadly missed and true to say that we owe so much to his leadership over a number of years which has enabled this Credit Union to grow into the successful organisation it is today.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Christine and the family.
